The IP69 rating is provided according to the IEC 60529:2013 standard. IPX9 testing is performed using water at 80 ± 5°C, a flow rate of 15 ± 1 L/min, water pressure of 10,000 ± 500 kPa, and spray angles of 0°, 30°, 60°, and 90° for 30 seconds at each angle. Protection during hot-water showers is not indicated by this rating.

The watch can be worn during suitable shallow-water activities, such as swimming in a pool or along the coast. After water activities, the device should be cleaned and dried promptly. Water should be removed from the surfaces and openings, and the device's drainage feature should be used to help prevent water from negatively affecting performance.

The watch should not be worn during hot showers, hot springs, saunas, steam rooms, or other activities involving high temperatures or high humidity. Exposure to shower gel, shampoo, soapy water, laundry products, or cleaning products should also be avoided. If contact occurs, the device should be rinsed and soaked in fresh water for 30 minutes.

Free diving, scuba diving, and other diving activities are not recommended. Composite vegan leather, composite woven, titanium, and ceramic straps are not designed for swimming or other water activities and are not intended to withstand heavy exposure to sweat. Alternative suitable straps should therefore be used for these activities.

Water resistance is not permanent, and resistance performance may deteriorate through normal daily wear.
